How it works

Three steps. You still own the one that matters.

Nothing here asks your factory to change first. The enquiry arrives the way it always has, and the quotation goes out under your estimator's name — what changes is the four hours in between.

Follow one enquiry all the way through.

This is QT-2026-0847 — six 2400 × 1800 two-track sliders — from the message that started it to the cut plan that finished it.

Send the enquiry as it arrived

Forward the email, drop in the PDF, photograph the job sheet, or paste the WhatsApp message. Nothing gets re-typed into a form first — the mess is the input, and handling it is the job.

Typical inputs: PDF elevation · DWG / DXF · contractor BOQ · photo of a hand sketch · a message with three sizes and a finish.

The AI does the take-off

It reads the sizes and system, picks your sections, derives every cut length and glass size from the frame, totals the weights and areas, nests the cuts into stock bars and prices the lot at your rates. Anything genuinely ambiguous comes back as a specific question rather than a guess.

Derived, never typed: shutter width, rail cut, glass at shutter − 68 mm, kg per section, bars and off-cut.

Your estimator reviews it

One screen: quotation, elevation, cutting list, schedules, and a list of every assumption it made. Change a rate or a spec and everything downstream re-computes. Approve, and it goes out in your format under your name.

This is the step we will not automate away. An unreviewed quotation is a liability, not a feature.

What the AI needs from you.

Every vendor tells you what their software does. This is the part that is your job, and being clear about it up front saves everyone a disappointing month three.

A rate card that is true

If your aluminium rate has not been updated since last year, the AI will quote confidently at last year's price. It does arithmetic faultlessly on whatever numbers you give it — it cannot tell you that a number is stale.

Section data that exists

Codes, weights per metre and which profile does which job. Most fabricators have this from their supplier. If yours lives in a person rather than a file, getting it into a file is step zero — and it is worth doing anyway.

Someone who reviews

One person who looks at each quotation before it goes. If nobody has ten minutes for that, the answer is not to skip the review — it is that you are not ready for this yet, and we would rather say so.

Sht 03 of 6  · Human in the loop

Why a person signs every quotation.

A wrong quotation does not fail loudly. It gets accepted, built, and discovered at the point where you have already bought the aluminium. That is why the review is not a setting you can turn off.

  • Every assumption is shown as an assumption — glazing spec, finish, whether installation is in scope.
  • The take-off is auditable line by line, so you can see which section produced which kilo.
  • Ambiguity comes back as a question. A guess presented as a fact is the one failure mode we design against.
  • The quotation goes out under your name, at your margin, in your format.
Sht 04 of 6  · Your data

Where your enquiries and rates live.

Your enquiries, drawings, rate cards and quotations belong to you. We use them to run your estimator and for nothing else — not to train a shared model, not shown to another fabricator, not sold. You can export them or ask us to delete them.

We hold no security certifications and we are not going to imply otherwise on a marketing page. What we will do is answer the specific question — where it is hosted, who can see it, what happens if you leave — directly, on the demo call, in writing if you want it in writing. If your IT team has a questionnaire, send it and we will fill it in honestly, including the boxes we have to leave blank.

Getting started: what people ask.

How long before we are quoting with it?

The demo runs on your enquiry the same week. Getting your own system library and rate card loaded is the real work, and how long that takes depends entirely on the state of your data — a clean price list is days, a decade of spreadsheets is longer. We will tell you which one you have after looking at it.

What do you need from us to start?

Your section library or supplier catalogue, your section weights, your current rate card, and about ten past quotations so we can see the format your customers expect. That is genuinely it. If any of those live only in someone’s head, the first job is getting them out of it — which is worth doing regardless.

Does our team need training?

Your estimator needs to learn one review screen. There is no modelling to do, no CAD to drive and no new file format to adopt. The people who take longest to settle are usually the ones who expect it to be harder than it is.

Where does our data go?

Your enquiries, drawings, rates and quotations are yours. They are used to run your estimator and nothing else — not to train a shared model, not shown to other fabricators. We hold what we need to do the job and you can have it back or have it deleted. We hold no security certifications and we are not going to claim any; ask us directly and we will tell you exactly how it is stored.

What happens when it gets something wrong?

Your estimator catches it in review, which is what the review is for, and you tell us. Corrections that come from a real enquiry are the most valuable thing we get — they are usually a gap in the rules, not a mystery, and the fix holds for every quotation after it.

See step two run on your enquiry.

Thirty minutes. Bring a drawing you would normally hand to your estimator, and watch the take-off happen.
