Estimating for fire-rated door and screen fabricators.
You are given a rating and a specification. This quotes what that specification costs to build — accurately, quickly, and without ever telling you what a door is rated for.
How does an AI Estimator quote a fire-rated door?
It takes the specification you were given — rating, leaf construction, frame, glazing and ironmongery — and does the take-off against it: leaf and frame sizes, infill, intumescent and smoke seal runs, vision panel sizes, and the ironmongery schedule. It prices those at your rates. It does not select or certify the specification.
CADBEATER quotes fire-rated work against a specification you provide. We do not test, rate, approve or certify fire-resistant products, and nothing on this page should be read as a performance or compliance claim. Ratings and test evidence come from your system supplier and your certifying authority.
What it has to understand about fire & safety components.
The specification is an input
What you were told to build is what it prices. Ratings, test evidence and certification stay with your system supplier and your certifier, where they belong.
Seals and intumescent runs
Perimeter runs derived from the leaf and frame sizes rather than estimated, because on a fire door the perimeter items are a real share of the cost.
Ironmongery schedules
Closers, hinges, locks, panic hardware and signage listed per leaf and totalled per job, matched to the specification supplied.
Documentation the job needs
A checklist of what the handover pack must contain, so nothing surfaces at inspection. A list, not a claim.
One unit, drawn.
FR-GS-01 — 1000 × 2100 mm. Glass 812 × 1912, derived from the opening less 68 mm rather than typed.

Rates are yours, so we have not put numbers against these lines. The priced worked example on this site is the aluminium job — bring a fire & safety components enquiry to a demo and we will price yours live.

If yours is not on the list, it is a question rather than a no — bring it to the demo and we will quote it live or tell you plainly that we cannot yet.
Fire & safety components: the usual questions.
Do you certify fire ratings?
No. We are an estimating and manufacturing-software company. Ratings, test evidence and certification come from your system supplier and your certifying authority. Our role starts once the specification exists and ends when the quotation is priced.
Can it quote fire-rated and standard work together?
Yes. A project with fire-rated corridor screens and standard aluminium windows is one enquiry with two cost models, priced together and returned as one quotation.
Send us one fire & safety component enquiry.
We will run it live on the call and you keep the quotation, the elevation and the cutting list either way.
